Mac and I are going to St. Louis soon for a TEAM Monavie function, and I complained about mouse poop (yuck) under the bathroom cabinet. So I started Mac on remodeling the bathroom before his mom gets here to stay with our kids. He gutted the entire bathroom, replaced floor joists and got the sub-floor and hardi-board down but that is as far as he got. I am afraid that I caused a lot of stress for him.
We also have a whole bedroom full of boxed kitchen cabinets. We were hoping to get them in before his mom gets here too, but we will have one day before we have to leave for St. Louis when he gets back.
What did I start!!!! At least our kitchen has the existing cabinets and sink and appliances. It's very funtional.
Well I have to go put my house in order to prepare for our trip.
Since we moved into our house in Rigby, we have been slowly but surely fixing it up. It all started the night that we closed on the house, Mac and a couple friends ripped all the carpet out, because of the stench of dog urine.
Since then we have torn out paneling, replaced rotted sub floor, replaced the coat closet with a bigger one, and much more.
In October we started on the kitchen floor and got ready to tile around the dining room and the kitchen. We pulled up the old gross vinyl rollout flooring and layed hardibacker board.
Leah even helped by giving Daddy screws and blowing him kisses. She wanted to be just like Daddy with knee pads and everything.
In November we layed the tile but hit a snag when we couldn't decide where to go next because we don't have our new cabinets yet. We will have a little different layout in the kitchen which makes everything more complicated.
Now that it is February we are so excited to get close to the end of our kitchen projects. We will be getting new cabinets!!!!
Our family loves to spend time together. Becca is a stay at home mom to Hailey, Leah, Alice and Grace. Mac is outnumbered with females in the house including a female dog, despite recently acquiring a male dog. The only other male in the family is the cat, Giggi. Mac is very glad to have another male in the house, not that he needs it. Although we have only girl children, we like to do things that Daddy likes to do, like off-roading and shooting. Our lives are very busy now with 4 girls and their various activities.
